A fresh and flavourful adventure is launching on Ontario’s West Coast. On Saturday, June 21st, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Huron County is inviting everyone to celebrate the launch of its new Taste Trails and Field-to-Fork Map, a guide to the region’s best local food and farm experiences.
This one-day event marks the beginning of a new way to explore local farms, meet producers, and enjoy the tastes and sights of Huron County’s countryside. With 9 main farm stops and 2 bonus locations, the self-guided event promises something special for all ages. Visitors can sample delicious foods, meet farm animals, go on wagon rides, and enjoy live music and lunch in a lavender field. It’s a fun and relaxing way to kick off summer, whether you’re a foodie, a nature lover, or just looking for a day out with family.
Each farm along the Taste Trails offers a different experience. From strawberry picking at Morrison Berries Country Market, to lavender tours and harp music at Bayfield Lavender Farm and Lavender Works Co., the event will showcase the best of Huron County’s local charm. Other stops include petting zoos, bouncy castles, guided cheese tours, coffee tastings, mushroom sampling, and more. Visitors can also explore farm stores stocked with homemade baked goods, pasture-raised meats, and hand-crafted products grown and made right on the farm.
With free admission and activities at each stop, the Taste Trails launch is a celebration of all things fresh, local, and delicious in Huron County.
