One person has been pronounced dead and another airlifted to hospital following a serious two-vehicle collision north of Exeter.
Huron County OPP say the crash, involving a car and an SUV, occurred just before 6 a.m. Friday on Highway 4 at Hurondale Road.
Highway 4 remains closed in both directions in the area as police continue their investigation.

A serious crash in the Municipality of Bluewater has claimed the life of a local resident.
Around 6 a.m. on Friday, June 20th, emergency crews from Huron County OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services, and the South Huron Fire Department were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on London Road near Hurondale Road.
When they arrived, they found a passenger car and an SUV with heavy damage. The driver of the car, a 57-year-old Bluewater resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV was seriously injured and flown by air ambulance to hospital in London. No passengers were in either vehicle.
The OPP’s Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team is investigating the cause of the crash. London Road, which was closed for several hours, has since re-opened.
