After days of sweltering temperatures, Southern Ontario is finally getting some relief as cooler weather moves into the region.
Environment Canada has begun lifting heat warnings across much of the province. Some areas, including parts of the St. Lawrence River, the Golden Horseshoe, and Deep Southwestern Ontario, are still under a warning for now, but that is expected to end as temperatures drop to more comfortable levels.
This shift in the weather brings an official end to the season’s first major heat wave.
Now, with the heat wave behind us, the return of mild summer weather means more chances to enjoy time outside.
