Canada Day celebrations are just around the corner, and Exeter is getting ready with a full lineup of family-friendly events across three locations.
Jonathon Roulston, chair of the Huron Togetherness Project told myFM about the day.
Activities will be held at the downtown parkette, the library parking lot, and the Exeter Legion with something different in each location.
At the library parking lot, the Optimist Club, Jessica’s House, the Tanner Steffler Foundation, and the Huron County Library will team up to offer a bike rodeo for kids.
Some of these activities may move indoors in bad weather, but the bike rodeo may be cancelled if it rains.
Meanwhile, the Exeter Legion, in partnership with the Huron Togetherness Project, will feature live music with Nuclear Vibes from 3 to 6 p.m. and other local bands. Food will be available from Little Jamaica starting at 5 p.m. Entry to the concert is $5 or a donation to the local food bank. Tickets can be bought online through the Huron Togetherness Project’s website or Facebook page.
While there will be no fireworks this year due to funding issues, organizers are still excited for a busy day of community fun.
