Big Brothers Big Sisters is excited to host its second annual Golf for Kids’ Sake fundraiser on Sunday, July 6th at the White Squirrel Golf Course.
Fund Development Coordinator for Big Brothers Big Sisters, Angie Steckle is leading the event this year. She says the tournament is a fun and relaxed way for people to enjoy golf while supporting children in the community.
She told myFM about the cost breakdown for the event.
The day starts with golfers arriving around 8 a.m. to register, enjoy breakfast, and warm up at the driving range. At 10 a.m., the tournament officially begins with a shotgun start, sending all teams off at different holes at the same time.
Midway through the course, players can join a putting contest and learn more about Big Brothers Big Sisters’ programs. Steckle emphasizes that the event is friendly and low-pressure perfect for both experienced golfers and those new to the game.
All money raised from Golf for Kids’ Sake goes directly to Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mentoring programs.
