The community of Clinton is preparing for a major milestone as it celebrates its 150th anniversary with a full weekend of events from Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 6.
Michelle Carter, spokesperson for the Clinton 150 Homecoming, says the celebration is all about bringing people back to their roots.
The weekend kicks off Friday with an evening packed full of events.
Saturday will be just as busy.
The evening will also see a full schedule.
Most events are free and open to all, but tickets are needed for the Practically Hip concert and the street dance.
Sunday wraps up the festivities with a worship celebration at Libro Hall and races at Clinton Raceway.
Carter, who has lived in Clinton most of her life, is especially excited about the historical displays at Town Hall and the Clinton Library.
While most events will run rain or shine, the drone show may be rescheduled if the weather doesn’t cooperate.
For updates, residents and visitors can check the Central Huron BIA website or follow Clinton 150 on Facebook and Instagram.
