Last year's torch run was an absolute success
The Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) made its way through Huron County on Wednesday, June 4th.
This yearly event brings together Huron County OPP officers, Special Olympics Ontario, family members, friends, and local supporters to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics. The Torch Run is the biggest public awareness campaign and grassroots fundraiser for Special Olympics in Ontario.
This year, Huron OPP Torch Run coordinator Sergeant Russell Nesbitt, who has proudly supported this event for 28 years, shared that they raised over $7,200.
Anyone who would like to support this cause can still make a donation by cash or cheque to “Ontario Special Olympics.”
