A South Huron resident is facing charges after a traffic stop in the Municipality of South Huron earlier this month.
Just before 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, Huron County OPP officers pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation. When speaking with the driver, police found out that the person was not allowed to drive because their vehicle did not have an ignition interlock device, which they were required to have.
As a result, a 35-year-old of South Huron has been charged with driving while prohibited. The vehicle was also towed and will be impounded for 45 days.
Police continue to remind everyone that following court orders and driving rules is important to keep all road users safe.
