Work is moving along well on Victoria Street. The contractor has finished putting in the concrete curbs between Main Street and the pillars. They also continued installing the sanitary sewer on the east side of the pillars.
This week, crews will start putting in new sidewalks between Main Street and the pillars. They will also turn on the temporary watermain east of the pillars. Work on the sanitary sewer will keep going, and they will begin installing the storm sewer east of the pillars.
Victoria Street is still closed to through traffic from Main Street to the east end. People can still reach the Relouw Early Childhood Learning Centre by going through the South Huron Recreation Centre property. Access to Exeter Public School and the recreation facilities at the east end of Victoria Street is limited.
