The Township of Lucan-Biddulph is celebrating the development of a brand-new All Wheels Park at Optimist Elm Street Park, thanks in part to a $150,000 Capital grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF).
The announcement was marked with a special event attended by local MPP Steve Pinsonneault and Mayor Cathy Burghardt-Jesson, who both spoke about the importance of the new community space.
The All Wheels Park has been designed for use by people of all ages and abilities with skateboards, scooters, BMX bikes, and more. It’s part of a larger effort to make Optimist Elm Street Park a busy and welcoming hub for the community. The park also promotes healthy lifestyles and outdoor activity.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation is one of the largest funders of community programs in Ontario. It supports projects that help people live healthier, more active lives. Last year alone, OTF supported more than 700 community projects across the province.
