A man from Zorra Township is facing several charges after a break and enter at a rural property in Central Huron.
On June 18th, around 7:00 p.m., a property owner on Bayfield Road found someone inside their barn without permission. The suspect had arrived on a motorcycle and tried to escape by driving through a farm field. However, the motorcycle got stuck in the mud. Police arrived soon after and arrested the individual.
The suspect has been identified as a 47-year-old of Zorra Township. He is now facing a long list of charges under both the Criminal Code and Provincial laws. Charges include break and enter, having break-in tools, possession of stolen property, fleeing from police, mischief, tampering with a vehicle identification number, and 13 counts of driving while prohibited. He is also charged with having methamphetamine, along with other offences under traffic and insurance laws.
