My Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), parent company of (insert your local station) is pleased to announce the sale of CKOT-FM and CJDL-FM in Tillsonburg has been approved by the CRTC. With just a few more details to work out, it shouldn’t be long until the stations are run by MBC. President Jon Pole says both signals will help solidify the local content here, and at our sister stations as well in St. Thomas and Simcoe.
Pole adds that the Tillsonburg stations are a perfect fit for MBC.
The news was a long time coming too. The purchase agreement was first announced last November. Now that the wait is over, Pole says all involved are eager for the next steps, and eventual launch of the new Tilsonburg stations and another in Smiths Falls which received approval at the same time.
