The Tanner Steffler Foundation is inviting everyone to join them for a day of golf, fun, and community spirit this Saturday at their “Driving the Stigma Out” Golf Tournament. Lexi Harney, event planning and fundraising assistant, says the tournament promises a great day.
Some exciting auction prizes include two round-trip tickets from WestJet, a Ninja wood fire grill, an Owen Riegling signed guitar, and an outdoor fire table. Anyone can sign up to play, no matter their age or golf experience.
Harney broke down the cost for teams looking to sign up.
The cost covers golf, cart rental, lunch, and dinner. Participants are encouraged to sign up at least two weeks before the event. Harney says the tournament will run rain or shine, with dinner moving under a covered patio if needed. Registration opens at noon and the tournament begins with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
She adds that taking part in this tournament is a great way to help reduce stigma around youth mental health and support vital local programs.
