Residents in Hensall are being advised that the Ontario Clean Water Agency will be flushing the sanitary sewer system starting Tuesday through to Thursday.
This work is part of regular maintenance in the Municipality of Bluewater. During this time, you might notice bubbling in your toilet. To avoid any mess, it’s a good idea to keep toilet lids closed while the work is underway. The municipality is also reminding residents that installing a sanitary back water valve, also known as a check valve, can help reduce the risk of sewage backups.
If you don’t already have one, you may want to speak with a plumber about having one installed. For any questions about this, you can contact the Development Services Department.
