Ontario Premier Doug Ford has signed two new agreements aimed at making it easier to do business and work across Canada. He was joined by British Columbia Premier David Eby, Yukon Premier Mike Pemberton, Northwest Territories Premier R.J. Simpson, and Nunavut Premier P.J. Akeeagok for the signing.
One agreement is between Ontario and British Columbia, and the other includes Ontario and Canada’s three northern territories. The goal is to cut red tape, lower costs for businesses, and allow skilled workers to move more freely across the country.
With these new deals, Ontario now has trade agreements with 10 provinces and territories, more than any other province. Ontario also passed a new law recently to make sure it can keep leading the way on trade and job growth across Canada.
