South Huron Hospital in Exeter is using new digital tools to improve care for patients. The hospital has now launched Phase II of OneChart, an advanced electronic health record system. This change is helping staff spend less time on paperwork and more time with patients.
OneChart brings all patient records and test results together into one secure computer system. This makes it easier for doctors and nurses to work together and make faster, more informed decisions.
Phase II of OneChart adds even more helpful tools, like voice-to-text notes, photo uploads, document scanning, and electronic faxes. It builds on the first phase and ensures the right information goes to the right provider at the right time.
This new system also helps the environment by cutting down on paper use and hospital waste.
