Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Huron is once again teaming up with the Salvation Army Goderich for the annual Backpacks for Youth campaign. The program makes sure local kids have everything they need for a successful school year.
Backpacks and school supplies are now being collected until August 13th. Meghan Hartman, mentoring coordinator with Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Huron, says they’re looking for all kinds of school items, from backpacks and lunch bags to markers, pencils, and water bottles.
Donations can be dropped off at The Little Shop in Exeter, which is serving as a collection point this year. Families in need will be able to receive backpacks through the program as well.
