Ontario is making its Community Paramedicine for Long-Term Care program permanent, with $89 million in new funding.
The initiative allows paramedics to treat seniors at home for non-emergency health issues, reducing hospital visits.
Since 2020, more than 81,000 Ontarians have received care through the program.
Services will be further expanded, including in First Nations communities.
