An 18-year-old from London faces several charges after a single-vehicle crash in Lambton Shores.
On August 6th, just before 5 p.m., the Lambton County OPP responded to a report of a crash on Dolway Drive, near Outer Drive. The vehicle left the road and hit a tree. The driver ran away from the scene, but police found him shortly after and took him into custody safely.
No one was hurt in the crash.
Following the investigation, the driver was charged with multiple offenses, including impaired driving by alcohol and drugs, fleeing from a peace officer, failing to stay at the scene, and several charges related to liquor laws for young people.
The Lambton County OPP reminds everyone to plan ahead and never drive while impaired by alcohol or drugs. They emphasize that traffic safety is everyone’s responsibility. If you see anything suspicious or suspect a driver is impaired, call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
