Officers from the Huron-Perth Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) have seized illegal drugs and other property during an investigation that led to criminal charges against a Central Huron resident.
The investigation began in June 2025 and focused on an address in the Municipality of Central Huron. On July 30, 2025, a traffic stop in the Township of Wilmot, Waterloo, resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and related property, and one person was arrested and charged. The following day, July 31, a search warrant was carried out at a Central Huron address.
Police seized a quantity of suspected cocaine with an estimated value of $16,780. Other offence-related property, including a cellphone, was also seized, valued at about $1,000.
A 31 year-old of Central Huron, has been charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine.
