Businesses in southern Ontario can now apply for federal funding through the newly launched Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI).
The program, announced Tuesday by Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation Evan Solomon, provides targeted support to help businesses adapt to shifting market conditions. Delivered through FedDev Ontario, the initiative will distribute nearly $160 million in southern Ontario as part of a three-year, $450-million national program.
The RTRI aims to support businesses—particularly in the steel and automotive sectors—impacted by tariffs and trade disruptions.
Funding is set to help companies boost productivity, diversify markets, and strengthen supply chains.
Applications are now open through FedDev Ontario.
