The Bayfield Area Food Bank has reached its fundraising goal to finish work on its new permanent home.
The announcement comes after months of support from the Bayfield and area community. Donations from local families, businesses, and volunteers helped make it possible, with a major $30,000 gift from the Bayfield Lions Club pushing the campaign past its target.
The Municipality of Bluewater donated the building, while the Bayfield Community Centre provided temporary space during the transition. Renovations on the new facility began earlier this year, supported by fundraising events held throughout the spring and summer.
The work is expected to be finished in September, giving the Food Bank a safe and accessible space to continue supporting people in need.
