Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for Exeter, Goderich, Bluewater, and southern Huron County.
Forecasters say strong southwesterly winds will develop late this morning and continue into the evening. Wind gusts could reach between 70 and 90 kilometres an hour.
The winds are linked to a low pressure system moving over northeastern Ontario. Officials warn the gusts may cause power outages, fallen trees, or minor damage.
Residents are asked to use caution and report any outages or damage to local authorities.
