The Albion Hotel, a long-time landmark in Bayfield, is reopening after a year of restoration work due to major roof damage. To celebrate, the community is hosting a special event later this month.
The reopening celebration will take place on Saturday, September 27th, starting at 5:00 p.m. and continuing into the early hours of Sunday, September 28th. The event will be held at the Albion Hotel and along part of Main Street between Charles Street and The Square.
Visitors can look forward to live music, food, and drinks as part of the festivities. Main Street will be partially closed beginning at 5:00 p.m. The celebration will officially start at 6:30 p.m. and wrap up by 1:00 a.m..
The event is being seen as more than just a reopening. It is also a chance to bring people downtown to explore, shop, and support local businesses. Many shops are being encouraged to stay open later, set up displays, or simply join in on the celebrations.
The Albion Hotel has been an important part of Bayfield for years, and organizers say this reopening marks a fresh chapter for the community.
