The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board is celebrating the canonization of Saint Carlo Acutis, which took place in Rome on September 7th. Pope Leo XIV led the Mass and spoke about Carlo’s strong faith, kindness, and trust in God. He praised Carlo, the first millennial saint, for showing how prayer, school, sports, study, and charity can all be part of daily life.
In 2020, the school board opened a virtual school called Blessed Carlo Acutis Continuing Education School to support students during the pandemic. With Carlo now officially recognized as a saint, the school has been renamed Saint Carlo Acutis Continuing Education School.
