The Run4Kids 5 km Run/Walk is back this year, raising money to help children and families in Huron County.
The event first began in 2012 to support children going through cancer treatment. It was inspired by the story of Will Frassinelli, a Virtual High School student who has been battling brain cancer for more than ten years. Over time, the event has grown to support other children’s charities in the community.
This year, all proceeds will go to Rural Response for Healthy Children (RRHC). The group provides programs and training to help families and children navigate life’s challenges.
Run4Kids is sponsored by Virtual High School (VHS) and Virtual Elementary School (VES). Organizers say the success of the charity run depends on the kindness and generosity of the community.
The event takes place on Saturday, September 27th, at 9:00 a.m. at 71108 Morrison Line, Exeter.
