Young people in Exeter have a chance to learn new skills, make friends, and take part in exciting activities through the 2923 Exeter Army Cadets program.
Captain Greg Beros, commanding officer of the 2923 Army Cadets, said the program gives youth the chance to build leadership, citizenship, and teamwork skills while staying active.
Activities are focused on the outdoors.
The most dedicated cadets can even apply for parachute training in Trenton.
Captain Beros told myFM about the training times for those in Army Cadets.
Beros said the benefits and lessons learned during Army Cadets, last far beyond the program.
Registration is open year-round for anyone who turns 12 or older. Parents and youth can sign up online at www.2923.ca. New cadets also receive access to Microsoft Office 365, giving them digital skills that can help in school and future jobs.
Beros encourages all young people to give it a try.
