The Huron County OPP has charged two people after incidents of stunt driving in Goderich on Saturday, September 13th.
Police were called on September 16th by Town of Goderich staff to investigate damage to property at Cove Beach. Video cameras in the area showed two drivers performing stunts with their vehicles in the parking lot near the beach. Officers were able to identify the drivers and later arrested them for Mischief and Stunt Driving.
A 23-year-old of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township, has been charged with Mischief Under $5,000 as well as Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt under the Highway Traffic Act.
A 22-year-old of Central Huron, is facing the same charges of Mischief Under $5,000 and Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt.
Police are reminding the public that the Town of Goderich uses CCTV cameras in key locations and will continue working closely with the OPP to hold people accountable for unlawful activity.
