Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Goderich resident after finding a stolen golf cart equipped with a GPS tracking device.
On Monday, September 15th, police received a tip about the possible location of the stolen cart in Goderich. The cart had been reported stolen two days earlier from a golf course property in Huron-Kinloss Township, South Bruce County.
Officers went to the location and spoke with a person on the property. They found the stolen cart inside a trailer and confirmed it matched the missing vehicle. A suspect was arrested at the scene.
A 59-year-old of Goderich has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
He was later released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
