Usborne & Hibbert Mutual Insurance is inviting the community to a special barbecue on Friday, September 26th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 507 Main Street in Exeter.
Shelagh Cleary, president and CEO of Usborne & Hibbert, said the idea came from staff who wanted to give back.
The event is run by staff and raises money for a different local cause each year.
Everyone is welcome to stop by for a hamburger or hot dog with chips and a drink. No registration is needed, but larger groups are encouraged to place pre-orders.
Donations are accepted in any amount.
The event is made possible with help from local sponsors, including Metzger’s Meat Products, Les MacDonald Installations, Mildmay Cheese Haus, Huron Tractor, and the Municipality of South Huron.
Picnic tables will be set up so people can sit, eat, and enjoy time together. Cleary said the growing support from sponsors and the community has helped turn the barbecue into a much-loved event.
