The South Huron Hospital Auxiliary is getting ready for its long-running fall rummage sale on October 3rd from 2pm – 8pm and October 4th from 8:30am – 12:30pm.
Committee member Barb Down says this year’s sale will be held in the hall of the South Huron Rec Centre instead of on the arena ice, making it the “smaller” version of the event.
Donations are being accepted Thursday, October 2nd, at the south side of the Rec Centre.
A wide range of items are welcome, including books, puzzles, games, shoes, purses, jewelry, home décor, and seasonal decorations like Halloween and Christmas items. Down mentioned there is one new addition this year.
Down says the sale is a highlight for the community.
Proceeds from the rummage sale go directly to the auxiliary to support patient care at South Huron Hospital.
Volunteers are always welcome to help with unloading, security, table assistance, or cleanup. Cleanup is one of the biggest jobs, and extra help with loading boxes and packing up is always appreciated.
The sale is cash only, and shoppers are asked to bring their own bags.
