The Exeter Community Food Bank has been chosen as the myFM community partner for October, giving the local organization a chance to share its work with the public.
Laurie Clapp, manager of the food bank, said the recognition is greatly appreciated.
The food bank collects donations from the community, both in food and financial support, and distributes them to families in need.
Registered families can receive up to seven days’ worth of food. The food bank is open Wednesday mornings from 9 to 11 a.m. and Thursday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m., and also accepts walk-ins.
Clapp noted that upcoming community events, such as the annual fire department food drive, will be added to the local calendar.
She mentioned the food bank is always looking for volunteers.
The food bank is located at 249 Andrew St, Exeter.
