The Emergency Department at Clinton Public Hospital, part of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA), will be temporarily closed starting at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20th. Regular hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., will resume on Wednesday, October 22nd.
This temporary closure is due to staff shortages. Anyone needing immediate medical attention should call 9-1-1. Paramedics will continue to serve the community and will redirect patients to the nearest available Emergency Department to ensure residents have access to emergency care.
For non-urgent health questions, Health Connect Ontario is available 24 hours a day at 811.
The closest 24-hour Emergency Departments to Clinton Public Hospital are Seaforth Community Hospital, Alexandra Marine & General Hospital in Goderich, and South Huron Hospital in Exeter. Residents are advised to check with these hospitals before visiting to confirm they are open and operating normally.
