Huron County’s Local Immigration Partnership and the Huron Welcome Hub for Newcomers are inviting the public to an information session in Clinton on Tuesday, October 21st. The event will focus on how communities can support refugees to help them successfully settle in rural Ontario.
Reception House has been helping refugees and newcomers integrate into local communities since 1987 through various programs and services.
Organizers say newcomers, including refugees, play a key role in the future of Canada, especially in rural areas. With the right support, they bring new skills, experiences, and culture that strengthen communities.
The event will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Clinton Town Hall auditorium, 23 Albert Street. Everyone is welcome to attend and learn more about how to support refugees in Huron County.
