The Great Pumpkin Trail is returning to Seaforth, promising a fun Halloween tradition for all ages. The event will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the track, 140 Duke Street, Seaforth, and will feature a glowing display of carved pumpkins, spooky sights, and family fun.
Organizer Kendra Jewett, who first came up with the idea years ago, says the event brings the community together in a creative way.
People who want to take part can carve or decorate a pumpkin and drop it off between 4:00 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. at the Agriplex. Some participants like to set up their own pumpkins, especially if they are detailed, while others let the organizers handle the setup.
The trail will be open from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitors can walk through the glowing display, enjoy the creative carvings, and vote for their favourite pumpkins.
Jewett said they may add another category this year to include younger children.
Admission is $5 per person or $20 per family, with proceeds going to support the Agricultural Society.
Organizers ask anyone who drops off a pumpkin to pick it up again at 8:00 p.m.
Jewett says the community’s support is what keeps the event going each year.
