Haldimand–Norfolk MPP Bobbi Ann Brady says it’s “better late than never” as the Ontario Legislature resumed Monday (October 20), starting later than in past years. Despite the delay, Brady says she has been busy in the riding meeting with constituents, local businesses, and community groups to prepare for the fall session.
Brady plans to press Premier Doug Ford and his cabinet on several local priorities, including the long-awaited Argyle Street Bridge reconstruction, traffic lights at Highway 6 and Haldibrook Road, and concerns over education spending. She will also challenge the province on Bill 9, the Municipal Accountability Act, and the proposed Nanticoke mega-development.
She says petitions collected at the Norfolk County and Caledonia fairs will be read into the legislative record, covering topics like small business tax relief, opposition to the federal gun buy-back program, and the controversial MZO.
Brady also serves on the Finance and Economic Affairs Committee and says she will stay connected with residents throughout the session.
