A new business that’s local through and through is getting ready to open its doors. Jake’s Country Market, located just south of Grand Bend, is the creation of Jake MacRae, a 31-year-old beef farmer from Alvinston, and his partner Jette Vanadrichen of Grand Bend.
Many locals may recognize Jette from her family’s business, Westland’s Greenhouses, along the same stretch of Lakeshore Road.
The pair has been hard at work building the new market, which will offer a wide range of local products from nearby farms, producers, and small businesses. Shoppers can look forward to local meats, fresh produce, baked goods, snacks, and other unique finds-all under one roof.
The bright, welcoming space is expected to open in early winter 2025, offering a true “one-stop shop” for anyone who loves to buy local.
