Downtown Goderich is getting ready to welcome families for its annual Spooktacular Halloween celebration. The event will take place on Friday, October 31st, giving children a safe and fun way to go trick-or-treating around the square.
Lynn Beatty, Marketing and Events Coordinator for the Downtown Goderich BIA, says Spooktacular on the Square is a Halloween favourite for the community.
Beatty noted that it’s not just the kids that have fun at the event.
The trick-or-treating portion of Spooktacular runs from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Other businesses from outside the downtown area are also welcome to join in by setting up on corners or contacting the BIA at 519-440-0871 to reserve a spot.
This year, the celebration is expanding with Spooktacular at Night on East Street.
From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., East Street will be closed off and transformed into a Halloween street party. The evening event will feature vendors, music, beverages, spooky decorations, and a special Halloween art show hosted by Tribute Studios. There will also be a live piercing performance and a silent art auction.
Spooktacular is one of Downtown Goderich’s most beloved community traditions, bringing together families, businesses, and Halloween lovers of all ages.
