The South Huron Hospital Foundation surpassed its fundraising goal of $50,000 in 6 hours during the 12th annual Radiothon on Halloween, held in partnership with 90.5 myFM and Hay Communications.
$54,792 was successfully raised this year.
Executive Director Krista McCann said the money raised will help purchase two important pieces of equipment for the hospital: a nitrous oxide delivery system for the emergency department and a wound vac system. Both are new additions that will improve patient care.
She thanked everyone who supported the Radiothon, including volunteers, local businesses, and community members who donated.
