Winter is made an early return across much of Ontario this weekend. A Snow Squall Warning is in effect for Exeter, Goderich, Bluewater, and southern Huron County, with heavy snow expected through Tuesday morning.
Forecasters say snowfall could reach 15 to 30 centimetres, with some areas seeing even more. At times, snow may fall as quickly as 5 to 10 centimetres per hour, creating dangerous driving conditions and poor visibility.
Lake effect snow from Lake Huron is expected to shift later today, moving east and southeast as winds change direction. A strong snow band could form tonight into Tuesday morning, bringing the heaviest snowfall and the worst travel conditions, especially west and northwest of London.
Drivers are being warned to use caution, as visibility could drop to near zero and roads and sidewalks may become very difficult to navigate.
