The holiday season is about to shine bright in Exeter as the community gets ready for the Light Up the Park celebration at McNaughton Park on Friday, November 14th at 7 p.m.
The event, hosted by the Exeter Lions Club, has been a local Christmas tradition for years according to Committee chair John Lloyd.
Together, the Lions and Lipman Family Farms run a special 50/50 draw with a twist.
This year’s prizes total $7,500, with $5,000 for first place, $2,000 for second, and $500 for third. Tickets are available from Lions members or at Thomas H. Fine Menswear on Main Street, but Lloyd warns they’re selling fast ahead of the November 14th draw.
Along with the light switch-on, families can enjoy a fun evening in the park featuring music, community spirit, and a countdown to illuminate thousands of lights.
Lloyd says the annual tradition brings the community together and helps keep Exeter’s holiday spirit strong.
Residents are invited to bring their families, enjoy the lights, and be part of one of Exeter’s most cherished holiday celebrations.
