It’s that time of year again! The Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign is back, with many local restaurants raising money for important community causes.
In our area, the Exeter location will be supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Huron. Parkhill and Grand Bend locations will donate to Jessica’s House Hospice. The Bayfield store will help the Bayfield and Area Food Bank. Clinton, Blyth, and Seaforth locations will support United Way Perth-Huron. Wingham will donate to the Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre, and Lucan will give to Jake’s House.
The Smile Cookie campaign started in 1996 to raise money for Hamilton Children’s Hospital. Since then, it has grown into an annual event, raising more than $130 million to help charities and community groups chosen each year by Tim Hortons restaurant owners. Last year alone, Smile Cookie raised $19.8 million, supporting over 600 charities across Canada and the United States.
