Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Huron has launched its 2025 Adopt-A-Child campaign, bringing the community together once again to help children and families during the holiday season.
Mentoring Coordinator Meghan Hartman says the program is already off to a strong start.
The Adopt-A-Child campaign is simple for anyone who wants to help.
Ornaments can be found at several local spots, including The Little Shop in Exeter, A1 Chiropractor in Exeter and Lucan, Home Hardware stores in Exeter and Grand Bend, Dessert First Bakery in Lucan, the Clinton and Seaforth libraries, and Sobeys and No Frills in Grand Bend.
Each ornament includes a gift suggestion along with clothing and shoe sizes. Hartman says shoppers do not need to buy everything on the tag.
All gifts must be returned by December 9th.
Hartman says the need for the program remains strong every year.
People who do not want to shop can still support the program by donating grocery gift cards or match activity kits, which help support Big Brothers Big Sisters programming throughout the year.
Hartman says she is grateful for the support they receive year after year.
