Lambton County OPP has charged a man with second-degree murder after a serious incident in Lambton Shores.
As myFM reported to you earlier this week, police were called to a home on Northville Crescent on Saturday, November 29th, around 1:40 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a woman who had passed away and another person with serious injuries. The injured person was taken to hospital.
The victim has been identified as a 57-year-old of Lambton Shores.
Following the investigation, police arrested a 23-year-old of Middlesex Centre. He is facing several charges, including second-degree murder, attempted murder, assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, and failing to follow a probation order. He remains in custody and is expected to appear in court in Sarnia on December 10th.
A publication ban has been put in place, which means police cannot release more details at this time.
The Lambton County OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation with help from the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, the Office of the Chief Coroner, the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, and OPP forensic teams.
