West Coast Active Living, a new local charity, is inviting the community to come together for its Christmas for All celebration this holiday season. The event is open to people of all ages and backgrounds and aims to bring the joy of Christmas to everyone in the area.
Maureen Cole, president of West Coast Active Living, says the idea came from seeing how much people enjoy sharing meals together.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children, and people can sponsor a family, a child, or a senior by buying a ticket and donating it.
Volunteers are also welcome to help with the event. Cole said they are looking for people to help prepare food, including cooking or bringing dishes from certified kitchens. Turkeys for the dinner are being supplied at wholesale prices, making it easier to prepare the meal.
In addition to dinner, the event will include Christmas music, singing, and activities to bring a festive spirit to the celebration. Cole emphasized the importance of events like this, saying they help bring the community together, create connections, and allow people to give back.
For more information, or to buy a ticket or volunteer, people can contact West Coast Active Living directly.
The celebration will take place on December 10th, at the South Huron Recreation Centre.
