Huron County OPP say a person has been charged following an incident in Seaforth on December 7th.
Police were called just after 3 p.m. after receiving reports of a person walking in the community while swinging a knife. Officers located the individual, who police say then confronted them while holding the knife.
OPP say officers used a conducted energy weapon to safely bring the situation under control. No injuries were reported.
A 33-year-old Goderich resident has been charged with several offences, including unauthorized possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, multiple counts of possessing firearms or ammunition while under a prohibition order, failing to comply with probation, and failing to comply with a release order.
