Environment Canada has issued a yellow snow squall warning for Exeter, Goderich, Bluewater, and southern Huron County.
Snow squalls are expected to move into the area this morning and are forecast to end later this afternoon. During these snow squalls, drivers may experience very poor visibility due to heavy snow and blowing snow. Visibility could drop suddenly to near zero at times.
Up to 10 centimetres of snow may fall in some areas, and snow is expected to build up quickly on roads and walkways. As a result, travel conditions are expected to be difficult and potentially dangerous.
Residents are being asked to consider delaying non-essential travel and outdoor activities until conditions improve. Anyone who must travel is reminded to slow down and use extra caution.
Environment Canada says confidence in the forecast is high and encourages people to continue monitoring weather alerts and updates throughout the day.
