Community Futures Huron has launched a new program to support local projects and businesses. The Huron Community Advancement Program (HCAP) offers funding to help strengthen the local economy and build community capacity.
There are two funding streams available. The first, for municipalities and registered not-for-profits, supports projects that improve local economies, community resilience, and business services. The second stream is for business owners and provides funding for training and expertise to help maintain, grow, or transition their business. This can include support in areas such as financial management, marketing, human resources, and succession planning.
All projects must be completed by March 31, 2026, and applications are due by January 9, 2026. Funds are limited, so interested applicants are encouraged to apply soon. More information and application forms are available through Community Futures Huron.
