Bluewater Recycling Association is once again helping residents recycle their Christmas trees through its Annual Christmas Tree Chipping Program.
With the holiday season coming to an end, residents in member municipalities are invited to drop off their natural Christmas trees at designated locations. The trees will be chipped into mulch, helping to reduce waste and support environmentally friendly practices.
The program runs until Saturday, January 10th, which is the final day for tree drop-off for the 2025–2026 season. Residents are reminded to remove all decorations, lights, and tinsel before dropping off their trees.
Several drop-off locations are available across the region. In Huron County, trees can be dropped off at the Goderich Works Yard on Cambridge Street, the South Huron Landfill Site near Exeter, the green waste site in Hensall, behind the Zurich Community Centre, and on Howard Street East in Bayfield near the Public Works Yard fence. In Lambton County, drop-off locations are available in Thedford on Port Franks Road and in Forest on Rawlings Road. In Middlesex County, residents can drop off trees at the Lucan Water Tower.
The Bluewater Recycling Association thanks residents for taking part in the program and helping keep local communities clean, green, and environmentally friendly.
