South Huron Fire Chief Jeremy Becker says 2025 was a busy and successful year for the municipality’s fire and community services.
Becker mentioned there were many highlights throughout the year.
The municipality has also made major investments in community facilities. The Stephen Arena received a new compressor, Centralia Park got a new playground, and additional upgrades were made to parks and arenas. Chief Becker says the community is growing, and operations are becoming busier each year.
Becker says there is always learning opportunities through the year.
In 2026, planning is already underway to make the year a success.
Pickleball continues to grow in popularity, with both outdoor and indoor courts available.
Chief Becker also reminded residents about an important new safety requirement that came into effect on January 1st, 2026.
He encourages residents to stay safe and enjoy all the community has to offer in the coming year.
